About the SouthPark Neighborhood & Apartments

The location of our apartments in SouthPark – Strawberry Hill and Heathstead – will feel like a paradise for anyone who loves to shop. This chic, upscale neighborhood is found six miles south of Charlotte’s city center and is named for the high-end SouthPark Mall. At nearly 1.8 million square feet, it earns the title of the largest shopping mall in North Carolina. A collection of first-class brands such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co. and Burberry can be found there. Conveniently located across the street from the mall is Specialty Shops SouthPark. If there’s still something to find on your list, stroll through the open-air Phillips Place for a luxury retail experience and grab a bite and cocktail at the The Rooftop Restaurant at RH Charlotte.

Beyond shopping, SouthPark also serves as one of the larger business districts in Charlotte with multiple mid-rise office buildings. It is home to companies like Nucor, Coca-Cola Consolidated and National Gypsum Co. The prime location of our SouthPark Charlotte apartments means you can live close to where you work.

SouthPark Outdoor & Fitness Activities

After a day at the office, SouthPark offers many ways to unwind and have fun. Music aficionados will adore time spent in Symphony Park’s amphitheater, which hosts the Charlotte Symphony’s Summer Pops concerts. Bookworms, meanwhile, can flock to SouthPark Regional Library. A significant renovation to the space included technology improvements, expanding the children’s area, community rooms and quiet study spaces, and the creation of a self-service café as well as an outdoor area. If you’re feeling like a social butterfly and want to make some new friends, try a class at Pure Barre or visit the massive Harris YMCA.

Those who know what Love, Deuce and All mean can pack up their tennis bags and visit one of the most charming parks in SouthPark. Park Road Park offers visitors 12 lit tennis courts, eight basketball courts, a volleyball court, a lake, trails and even horseshoe pits. Spend some time relishing the beauty of nature with a hike along the Little Sugar Creek Greenway. Pick up the path at the park and travel south for 6.4 miles to reach the James K. Polk State Historic Site in Pineville.
